PC-Dart for Consultants
Complete Access to DHI Records
PCDART for Consultants allows the dairy consultant access information. The consultant can use a personal computer with a modem and telephone to access records from any location. Once a consultant account has been established, additional coordination is unnecessary. By knowing the producer's herd code and password, valuable DHI information is immediately available. In addition to DHI data retrieval, PCDART enables the consultant to:
  • Create and print management reports
  • Create cow groups
  • Plot lactation curves
  • List "cowpage" information
  • Transfer data to other software for analysis
  • Use Graphic Analysis feature
"As a nutritionist, I have been using PCDART Consultant for three years. I find it to be very user friendly. I appreciate the ability to create graphs for production, somatic cell and reproduction trends along with many others. PCDART allows me to edit the criteria to get only what I need and by allowing me to put two graphs on one sheet, which has proven very useful to me and my clients."

Create/Print Reports
Consultants can easily examine the current lactation records for a specific group of cows that may need management attention.  Records can be manipulated with powerful report creating and printing features.  Complete control over which cows appear on a report allows the consultant to customize reports.  Cows are selected by setting a range for traits.  From a selection of more than 600 database items for each cow, the necessary  information to examine management problems is available.

Fees and Charges
The initial sign-up fee is $50 for a lifetime of program updates.  Consultants are billed monthly for charges accumulated during the previous month.  Charges depend on what time herds are accessed.  Charges per herd accessed are $5 plus 3 cents per cow during prime time ( 8 am to 11 pm EST)  or $2 plus 3 cents per cow all other times.  Max charge $15.00.
