The domino effect
The fantastic results NorthStar Cooperative experienced in fiscal 2007 are a perfect example of the domino effect. The actions and plans put in place have caused the results we were looking for, allowing the Cooperative to again achieve our goals and bring record results to customers and stockowners. In fact, 2007 marks the fourth consecutive year NorthStar is making record returns to stockowners. Read on and learn more about how the Cooperative’s structure has evolved and how that has assisted with reaching record levels.

Another timed A.I. option
Getting cows pregnant has always been a priority, but with rBST no longer available to many producers as an option to extend a cow’s lactation, the need to get the job done is even greater. One protocol that deserves re-visiting is PreSynch (14 +11) + OvSynch56, which may yield higher conception rates if a P.M. GnRH injection prior to A.I. is possible. Additionally with this protocol you don’t have to worry about administering shots or breeding on the weekends. Click to learn more about this protocol.

PCDART workshops planned
Developing standard operating procedures, creating timed A.I protocols, building custom reports and using flash/thumb drives for test day exchanges are just a few of the topics producers will learn about when they attend one of five PCDART Workshops planned in March. Registration cost is $30 and enrollment is limited so pre-registration one week prior is required. Click for complete details of the five workshops in Michigan and Indiana.
