Stockowner annual meeting notice
The annual stockowner meeting of NorthStar Cooperative will begin at 8:00 a.m. (CST) on Wedneday, March 10, 2010 at the Best Western Bridgewood Resort and Conference Center, which is located at 1000 Cameron Way in Neenah,Wisconsin. Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m., followed by the meeting at 8:00 a.m. Business will be conducted between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. only by common stockowners of record as of December 31, 2009. Scholarship winners announced
Tera Koebel of Three Oaks, Michigan; Lynnae Slavik of Ashley, Michigan and Stephanie Geiger of Brillion, Wisconsin were selected to receive $500 scholarships from NorthStar Cooperative to pursue education in the field of agriculture. Established in 2005, the NorthStar Cooperative Scholarship program is open to all stockowners and their children who are currently enrolled in post-high school study in the field of agriculture. Dairy producers earn top production honors
NorthStar Cooperative DHI Services has named award winners for the 2009 testing year. Awards are given by geographic area (Wisconsin and Michigan/Indiana/ Ohio) and are based on a herd’s annual rolling herd average, as completed with NorthStar Cooperative’s DHI Services. January 2010 genetic evaluation changes
The routine update of the genetic base used as a reference point for genetic evaluations occurred with the January 2010 sire summaries. Additionally, the formulas for Net Merit and TPI™ were also revised at this time. Click to learn about the main changes that occurred with the formulas and what it means to you.
