"We were having problems with cows not showing heats and fresh heifers not hitting peak milk production. On top of that, we had several cows that didn't clean after easy births, and our somatic cell count (SCC) climbed from about 70,000 to 200,000. We tested our feed again and found the corn silage was loaded with more mycotoxins than we expected so our veterinarian suggested we add ULTIMATE in combination with DTX, which we were already feeding to reduce mycotoxin effects. We fed ULTIMATE alone to our dry and steam-up cows while pairing it with DTX in the milking herd and within seven days, we saw results. Our SCC started dropping and our average milk production increased by eight pounds per cow. We had one heifer, in particular, that went from 70 pounds of milk to 120 pounds of milk within 30 days. The cows that had been treated with ULTIMATE before freshening were cleaning, even with two sets of twins and two hard births, and coming into the milk barn looking healthier and hitting stronger peaks.
